Traffic construction tips

The City of Richardson announces its traffic construction tips for the week of Monday, Dec. 18.
Arapaho Road from Mimosa Drive to Floyd Road – The project includes pavement repair, barrier free ramps, sidewalks, retaining walls, drainage improvements, landscaping plantings abd new landscape irrigation systems. Expect up to two directional traffic lanes to be temporarily blocked from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. The project should be completed by March of 2007.
Yale Boulevard - This project includes full depth concrete pavement repairs on Yale Boulevard from Belt Line Road to Chestnut Hill Lane. In addition, sidewalks, residential driveway approaches, wheelchair ramps and median pavement will be repaired. Construction should be completed by March of 2007. A traffic lane will be temporarily blocked at a time as needed as the work progresses along this corridor.
1900 block of Sommerville Drive – Because of utility pavement repair, half of this block will be temporarily closed to traffic and traffic will only be allowed in one direction. The direction will depend on the side of the block that is closed to traffic. This work should be completed by mid to late December.
