Michael Cox, dubbed “Prophet of Boom” by Wired magazine and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas chief economist, will speak about “Where we are and where we are going” at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce signature luncheon 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Radisson Hotel, 1981 N. Central Expressway.
Cox’s research on economic public policy issues have been designated as required reading for Congress. He is a frequent guest on CNN, Voice of America, ABC’s John Stossel program and National Public Radio.
The speaker’s book, Myths of Rich and Poor, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
The early bird price if registered three days prior to the event is $30 Richardson Chamber of Commerce members and $35 prospective members. After the deadline, there is a $10 surcharge. Walk-in customers will be seated based on seating availability.
