Lake Highlands Elementary first graders’ works will be displayed starting at 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at White Rock Coffee, 10105 E. Northwest Highway.
Art teacher Amelia Natanson chose a train theme to teach students about movement, rhythm and pattern using a Crayon resist technique.

This just in from Rebecca Brady at Montessori Children's House and School in Lake Highlands:
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Montessori education, the school will hold a special event covering the Montessori approach to learning for children ages 3 to 6 years starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25.
Speakers will discuss the Montessori basics, address some of the common misconceptions and answer questions during the hourlong session.
The house and school are located at 7335 Abrams Road in Dallas.
