Art sale benefits former LHJH teacher

Several artists are joining together to help raise money for artist Nina Boothe, a former Lake Highlands Junior High art teacher for more than 30 years whose home burned to the ground last November. Her art collection, library and supplies have all been lost.
An art sale where five artists will donate a portion of their proceeds to Boothe will be 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at 1003 Cardinal Lane in Richardson.

Artists represented include Ed Auger, Randy Findley, Mitsuka Iwahiro, Sarah Scott and Carol Stum. All are Skylight Artists members except Findley, who teaches art at Richardson High School and is an accomplished potter.
Boothe is president of the Texas Art Educators Convention and was in Fort Worth for the convention at the time of the fire.
For more information, contact Sarah Scott at 972-234-1486 or visit www.creativefocusbiz.com.
