Richardson-based Hug Internationally is holding a silent auction to benefit the orphans
in Romania, writes correspondent Margaret Mascorro.
Especially targeted now is the Grandmother Program which has lost 8 out of 13 grandmothers working with the orphans because of low funding. These surrogate grandmothers hold and care for the children who otherwise would have no physical touch, hence the name HUG.
The silent auction also will help worthy families that want to adopt internationally but don't have enough funds.
