Blog war

Editor Mark Macesich declared a blog war in the Feb. 10 issue of Richardson Neighbors.
And now, thanks to you, loyal bloggers, we have more than doubled our blog page views for the month of February. These views most likely happened in only 19 days between our Feb. 10 blog war declaration and Feb. 28.
As you can imagine, plenty of high-fiving (and a little bragging) was going on this morning at the Neighbors office.
The 1,000-plus additional page views we had in February than in January brought our blog up from sixth place out of the eight Neighbors blogs to a close third behind White Rock and Frisco.
While this is a major success, we won’t stop until we reach No. 1. But it all comes down to you, Richardson, Lake Highlands and Far North Dallas residents.
Viewing the blog 10 times or more a day isn’t too excessive, is it?

Several Lake Highlands Elementary students won awards at the regional science fair Feb. 22 at the Plano Civic Center from among more than 70 projects entered from Richardson ISD schools.
Among the LHE entries were award winners Jeffrey Bradshaw and Mason Puckett, sixth-graders, who worked together to earn third-place trophies for their “Rust, Rust, Rust” experiment; fourth-grader Semien Hagos, who received an honorable mention for her “Magic Jeans 2007” entry; and third-grader Aaron Hassell, who received an honorable mention for his project, “Which Shopping Bag is the Strongest?”
