Albanian-language books offered at library

The Richardson Public Library and the Society of the Albanian-American Writers have joined forces to establish a collection of Albanian-language books at the library.
The Society of the Albanian-American Writers, a Richardson-based nonprofit organization, donated 70 fiction and nonfiction books to better serve the library’s Albanian-American customers.
Most of the books are authored by members of the writers’ society and include poetry, short stories, novels, diaries, history, philosophy, sports, fables and reference works.
Several important national Albanian authors including Ismail Kadare, Rudolf Marku, Ali Podrimja and Visar Zhiti also are represented in the collection.
The Albanian-language collection can be found in the “World Languages” section on the library’s third floor.
